A: I got an e-mail from an old high school friend yesterday.
     어제 옛날 고등학교 동창한테서 이메일을 받았어.

B: Is that unusual?
  그게 이상해?

A: Yeah. I haven’t heard from her in a while.
    응. 걔한테 소식들은지가 정말 오래 됐거든.

B: I’ve lost touch with most of my old friends. Only one or two keep me
     posted about what they’re doing.
     내 오래된 친구들 대부분하고 연락이 끊겼거든. 한두 명 정도만 어떻게 사는지 계속 연락해오는 정도야.

A: It’s really hard to stay in touch when people move around so much.
    사람들이 이사해다니니까 계속 연락하기가 힘들어.

B: You’re right. People just drift apart.
   맞아. 사람들이 소원해지는 거야.



* lose touch with (one): ~와 연락이 끊기다

* stay in touch (with someone): ~와 계속 연락하다

* drift apart: 사이가 멀어지다 , 연락이 서서히 끊기다, 소원해지다
